  • The post of Prime Minister in the British Constitution is based on tradition, while in India, the post of Prime Minister has been recognized by the Constitution.
  • Parliamentary system has been adopted in India, in which the President is a nominal or formal executive and the Prime Minister and his Council of Minister are the real executive.
  • The post of PM is the most dazzling and powerful post in Indian polities, which is often desirable in politician.
